Bariatric Surgery as a Treatment for Diabetes

Bariatric Surgery as a Treatment for Diabetes

Over the last 10 years, there has been significant evidence of the effectiveness of bariatric surgery as a treatment for poorly-controlled Type 2 Diabetes, even for patients with lower BMIs. A majority of patients end up in remission within 1-2 years of surgery.
